Hi, I’m Angela

A Living Experiment
Angela's web site is a living experiment inspired by three concepts.
The Law of Reciprocity: “The universe operates through dynamic exchange . . . .giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.” Deepak Chopra, The Seven Spiritual Laws.
A desire to dare to be different and lead the way for others: Leadership as defined as “anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes, and who has the courage to develop that potential [in self and other].” Brene Brown, Dare to Lead.
A deep passion for critical thinking inspired during her Master’s work at the University of Victoria and varied education to deconstructs conformist thought, ways of being and doing, and glass ceilings that need discovery so they can be smashed. Angela believes experimenting with the three inspiration is continually producing a way of being with the energy of the world through the process and mindset of becoming a leader who dares to lean in to the unknown to make it know.
“For Deleuze and Guattari (1987), becoming relates to transformations – processes of interconnectivity, constantly transforming relations. Becoming does not depict relatively discrete forms of “beings” (subjects/objects, ordered/disordered, normal/abnormal) but rather processes of movement, variation, and multiplicity. Becoming is a means to “get outside the dualisms” that traditionally have governed Western thought; it is an alternative to “be-between, to pass between ... never ceasing to become” (p. 277). Becoming proposes a different way of existing in a world that otherwise can be sexist, racist, classist, and so on. Ultimately, becomings are a continual process; one never becomes once and for all. The process of becoming involves constantly changing and transforming, moving toward imperceptibility, away from identity and being defined (Deleuze & Guattari, 1987).”

Angela Slade, MA, RCC is deeply connected to personal growth and development, humanity and conscious self-regulated living.
